Come Join Us!!!
Trinity will be hosting a Winter Warm-up on Saturday, December 2, 2017 to be held in Ortmayer Hall from 2-5pm.
We will be providing hot soup, warm bread, coffee and coco before the downtown parade. A free will offering will be taken.
We are also planning on having a bake sale. Please contact Paula DeRubeis (201-2138) if you can help by bringing some baked goods or would be available to work the table the day of the event. We will have a Christmas table (or more) of gently used Christmas items. So clean out those Christmas closets, and bring us your old stuff! There will also be a table of donated hand-made crafts to sell.
If you are interested in making soup or serving soup or working at the Christmas table, please contact Yvonne Sanchez (295-2598).
We also need help distributing posters and ask everyone to share this event on their social media pages.
See You There!
Lessons & Carols
The Christmas Celebrations at Trinity begin with "Lessons and Carols". The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is a format of Christian worship service first held on Christmas Eve in 1918 at King's College, Cambridge, England.
The service begins with the church in darkness. As candles are lighted, the choir joins in followed by the congregation. Prayers and carols by the choir and congregation follow interspersed with readings by representatives from the congregation. The service concludes with the choir singing "Still, Still, Still," and the church returns to darkness.
The service of Nine Lessons and Carols imparts a feeling of rest, contemplation and peace, a time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. It is also an opportunity for all of us to share the unique beauty of our church with friends and neighbors.
175th Anniversary of Trinity Episcopal Church
We have a wonderful Anniversary to celebrate and to promote Trinity Episcopal Church. 2019 will be our 175th Anniversary of Trinity Episcopal Church.
This will be a wonderful milestone to celebrate for our Trinity Family, community, and the Diocese.
If you are interested to help plan events and to execute Special Events Celebration, please let me know.
Once a planning group has been gathered, I will schedule a meeting so planning our celebration can begin. To help with theplanning of these special events, I am suggesting that two people will volunteer or selected to CO-CHAIR this event.
Sincerely, Keith Steinbeck, Senior Warden
Thank you for all that you do for
