Episcopal Relief and Development
Trinity Episcopal and its parishioners support Episcopal Relief & Development (ERD), the international relief and development agency of the Episcopal Church of the United States. The organization is guided by the Episcopal Church’s principles of compassion, dignity and generosity as we work to heal a hurting world.
Episcopal Relief & Development partners with the worldwide Anglican Church and local organizations internationally to save lives and transform communities. ERD rebuilds after disasters and empowers people by offering lasting solutions that fight poverty, hunger and disease.
Programs focus on the following areas:
Alleviating Hunger and Improving Food Supply
Creating Economic Opportunities and Strengthening Communities
Promoting Health and Fighting Disease
Responding to Disasters and Rebuilding Communities
All of Episcopal Relief & Development’s international development programs work toward achieving the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which aim to cut extreme global poverty in half by 2015. ERD uses these goals as benchmarks to evaluate its progress.
