Daily Office

The Daily Office

The Daily Office is an ancient tradition that appoints a specific set of prayers and readings for each day. Set times of prayer, called the Office, are set aside for this purpose. If you feel the call for disciplined daily (or even occasional) prayers and readings, you'll find an appropriate form of liturgy below.

The Daily Office liturgies we use are from the Book of Common Prayer 1979 and provided by the Forward Movement.

If you are reading the Daily Office each day and miss a reading on our site, which updates four times daily for Morning Prayer, Noonday Prayer, Evening Prayer and Compline, you can find any prior day's reading at DailyOffice.org or The Mission of St. Clare.

To view Forward Day by Day, daily inspirational meditations reflecting on a specific Bible passage, chosen from the daily lectionary readings as listed in the Revised Common Lectionary or the Daily Office from the Episcopal Church's Book of Common Prayer, follow this link.
